Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Review patient files and documents for accuracy.
• Verify that all CPT and ICD-10 codes are current and active.
• Report missing or incomplete documents.
• Plays a role as a resource for insurance resolutions and code inquiries.
• Follow-up regarding claim status.
• Identifying and addressing any and all outstanding issues preventing claim resolution
• Understand about patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.
• Assists with account collection activities, including receiving phone calls from patients and employees.

Note: Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is required.

Dermatology billing experience is preferred.

AdvancedMD EMR system familiarity preferred.
